ODK Glamour

Featured Replies

As per title I have a sample pot of ODK Glamour which I thought id give the fabia a coat of but I'm not sure if it's me or not but this stuff seems to be a right pain to apply.

The car is clean as always and it's inside our workshop, I'm using a foam pad slightly moistened but it just seems to drag making it hard and not very enjoyable to apply.

Am I doing something wrong? Anyone out there that has experience with this stuff that can give me some advice?

I managed to get the whole car done in the end. I found it to be easier if I loaded the foam pad up with the wax, it seemed to spread a little easier although I'm used to using Collinite 476s which is by far easier to apply and take off.

I'm happy with the results now it looks lovely, very glossy which is what I like. Going to need to use it a few more times to see if I can get used to it I think. Love the smell though :)

Thanks for the info, sorry I couldn't help you initially. The "purer" show waxes tend to be a little more difficult to apply and remove. I would imagine this is down to its more natural ingredients and higher carnauba content.

Heard good things about ODK Glamour. What are your thoughts on the finish?

That's ok Hunty thanks for your input.

The finish is brilliant very glossy as I said, I haven't really got the eye for this sort of thing but I'm very happy with the result, just a shame it was so difficult to apply but perhaps it's just my lack of experience, maybe it'll get easier the more I use it.

Makes more sense now that you explained why it's different to what I'm used to. Perhaps I'll give it another coat next weekend and post up some pics to show the results.

Finally got my pc working so I thought it's only right I uploaded some pics.

Since my post I now apllied about 3 coats of this stuff so I'm a bit more used to it now and to be honest it's not too bad to use but the results are better.

Im not good at the polishing stuff, but I've just ordered a clay bar mitt and some of that ez stuff. Do you know if you need to polish after clay mitting?

Generally after claying there is some "marring" of the paint evident.

A light polish normally clears this up as a rule of thumb.

Choice of clay and lube, plus softness of paint will affect this of course.

That looks excellent, not an easy look to achieve on silver! Very glossy mate, nice one!

No worries! Ebay is my best friend!

Nice work. Not ventured into ODK stuff but I've read some good reviews. Might have to get one!
