Fabia Tdi Ride

Featured Replies

how do all u ppl with fabia tdi's feel about the ride quality? i find mine somewhat bouncy and was wondering if this is normal?

my 1.4 mpi ride is fine as demonstrated in wales airbourneeeee :D

Its a bit hard for me remembering the standard ride for the TDi, although It was always quite nimble in standard form.

Wouldnt say it was bouncy - is it a new car you are talking about?

I suppose the engine is relatively heavy for a small car and the fact its quite quick, even as standard, means the suspension sometimes doesnt cope.

Mine's got a bit bouncy over bumps with the new springs, but generally it's now as tight as a ducks *** around corners, and really stiffens up.

However, even as standard I though the suspension was a little wallowey through bends, but generally it still cornered pretty well, and soaked up bumps easily. Bouncey would never have been a word of mine to describe it.

the car is 2 years old, tho it has always felt the same from new, on uneven roads it feels like i'm on a trampoline lol, i heard somewhere of a misbuild that involved the fitting of the wrong springs not sure how i could tell if this was case, even i know it's unlikely, but i have heard time and time again what a great drive the fabia is so i guess i'm clutching at straws

Mine's 2 years old too (Y) - I guess on an undulating road I also feel a bouncing - but that's because the new springs aren't matched to the rest of the suspension. However, I'm starting to get used to the new feeling of the car - a feel which is very
