How to "Retune" a saved DAB station?

Featured Replies

For my sins, I often listen to Kisstory, which is saved as one of my DAB preset stations. Recently, its been appearing as zKisstory, with the radio text stating its moving and won't be available after 30th April. The presenters on the station are often saying that DAB users need to retune ASAP so as to not lose service. I looked through the DAB stations to see if it was presented elsewhere, but couldn't find it. Though did find a few other stations with the "z" before the station name.

Anyone else seen this? If it was just FM, it's obviously easy to do when you know the new frequency, but i'm a bit lost when it comes to DAB, any one come across this?

I believe that the system autotunes so it always has the latest available stations in the list. You will find that as you drive around the country the available stations changes. What should happen is that after 30th April the new station will appear on the list and you can then re-assign the preset.

Makes sense, thought I was being stupid....!

It's the same with zPlanetRock at the moment.
There is a way of manually forcing a rescan but you shouldn't need to do anything - it will auto adjust itself.

You need to re-scan the DAB stations, then re-programme your presets using one of the newly found stations (not the one with the z prefix).

Losing Planet Rock is a major disappointment.  I live in one of the areas of the country not covered by the new transmitters so not happy!  :swear:  I will re-tune when in one of the areas still supported.  A commercial station which actively reduces its national coverage - go figure.

Serves you right for living in the land of clotted cream and pasties!

I would have the Cream teas and Pasties over planet rock any day!!! :p

Call me greedy, but I want to listen to Planet Rock whilst eating my choice of West Country delicacies!
