Roof Bars

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm soon to the the owner of a 2013 Roomster

I'm going to a family holiday soon and like the idea of a roof box

Having looked at which roof bars I need there seems to be a big variant in prices.

I'm aware some of the better know brand bars and accessories go for just short of £200 but are they really that much better than these ones on eBay

Thanks in advance

OK so stupid question you da have roof rails ??

Nothing against £30 roof bars but they do seem awfully cheap

Hi

Yes it comes with rails

It does seem cheap compared to other brands but to me £200 seems aŵfully expensive for bars and feet

I've been using a cheap £30 set of bars with my box permanently fixed for many years, takes 2 mins to fit to the car.

I don't give a **** what they look like if I'm Cornwall bound baby!! :)

Might just get a cheap set and see how they fair

Worst case scenario they fail to bits while travelling down the M1 with a roof box attached haha

I pack mine full of vacuum packed clothes, bedding, towels etc - packed full, but not much weight.

I've had my nasty bars on our cars for 5 years, (Golf mk5, Golf Plus, Octy, Fabia combi, Touran and now the Roomster) living on the garage roof attached to the box between trips
