Carpet

Featured Replies

Is there a carpet protector available for Rhd beside throttle. On the mk2 there was a foot rest on clutch and throttle side. 4 weeks from new and don't reckon the carpet beside plastic sill protector will be in good shape in a few months.

I usually just rest my foot on the floor mat, either flat down or on its side, but I guess some may want to stretch out.

Is the accelerator bigger on the DSG?

It says for manuals only

nope, the foot rest on the DSG is just bigger, this is smaller to allow for the clutch pedal.

It does fit the DSG.......not that it helps the OP because he wants one by the throttle, the above is not that.

The MK2FL DSG had a slight foot rest/protection by the throttle. The above in the link is a "clutch foot" rest only.

The manual Mk2 Vrs had a large foot rest on both the clutch and throttle sides. On long journeys with cruise on, both feet were at a good angle. With the Mk3 and the top hung throttle, there is nowhere to rest the foot and I am finding that I am resting the foot against the carpet. It looks like it will be a diy job.
