A christmas present that I did not want!

Featured Replies

  Whilst out this morning doing a bit of last minute shopping my beautiful pride and joy picked up two very nasty dent's in the off side.

One on the driver's door and the other on the passengers door. To compliment these dents I have a large area of damage to the paint work in the same area as the dent's.

And of course there was no note on the window, I always park out of the way in every carpark that I use. I went in 3 shops and when I returned from all of them my car was sitting on it's own, and it was'nt until I got home I noticed it.

I will now have to use up one of my favours at the local body shop to get this repaired.

Happy Christmas to everybody at Briskoda.

grrrr thats one of my hates, halfwit phantom door whackers, id love nothing more than to catch someone if it was to happen to mine again, id take great pleasure in wrapping their shopping around their neck.

i remember having my old landrover rattled by a door while i was sitting in it, and they just looked at me as they did it, have to admit it was covered in dents but thats not the point, so i swiftly opened my door on to their merc and then said sorry. nothing like getting your own back... :D:thumbup:

a bit like last year in my old fabia, some van drove into the back of us to get out of a parking space left a lovley v in the boot  lucky there was a witnes who wrote the number plate down and stuck it on my window some people out there are just w@nkers, sorry to hear that mate it really isnt the best thing you need

iv got a random dent as well, so annoying i mean if id done damage to someone elses car id put a note on their window and hopefully pay cash as i want keep my insurance clean... to those out there who just drive off

I 've just got my vRS back from the bodyshop after some lowlife rsole did £700 of damage to the front wing - needless to say , i was not impressed ..... they didn't have the b4lls to own up of course

Might be worth a return visit to see if there are any CCTV cams covering the carpark. A long shot but you might land lucky !

I know it's no consolation, but these guys are pretty good for paint repairs and dent removal and are pretty close to you, they do an excellent job. One of my best mates lives in Colchester and had a dent removed fom a bike tank by them and a big bumper scuff and dent removed from the rear 1/4 on his Mrs's new tigra.

the same thing happened with my Fun! I turn round in my drivers seat, whilst eating a kebab one night, to see some loser in the back! Before I could do anything, he was gone, presumably leaving that foot-sized dent on the left wheel arch!?

Word of warning: repeats of this crime, minus a kebab on my lap, will only result in a forced drop off... some 20 miles away!!!

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

Took the car in to see my mate and he said he will re-spray both doors and remove both dents, for FREE!!

I have to do some tree work in return, still a good result?

Someone did this to my CTR in August and buggered off!;

Had to claim on the insurance, needed a new rear quarter and the door repairing and repraying!

I blame the supermarkets for making parking spaces too small.

My superb barely fits in some of them, and often overhangs at the back into the road. I know its selfish but I have taken to parking in 2 spaces now, slightly diagonal but right in the middle so no one can park either side. its the only way to keep your car dent free.

Incidentaly I did a superman style run and leap once to stop a trolley someone had pushed with their car from the other side of a car park, from hitting a boy racers parked up car, I personally dont like all the bodykits etc they put on them but it was obviously his pride and joy and well looked after, he couldn't thank me enough as he'd seen from inside the restaurant, what sort of ****** intetionaly pushes a trolley towards parked cars with their own car, it must have been doing about 15mph!!

Your were lucky not be hurt by that trolley travelling at that speed. Mine was done intentionally, I am also paranoid about having my car bashed I will make the family walk across a freezing Tesco’s car park just because I want to keep my car looking good.

On Christmas eve I parked well away from all the mad Christmas shoppers, the Skoda was the only car in that part of the car park, and when I came back there were no cars any where around it.

People round here despise you having nice things they have no conscience

I better stop I am feeling my blood boil. We could start a new thread on why people think that it is ok to damage cars and say nothing?

I used to work at KFC, and this was a shocker.

I had a clio then, but still, the kids are excited and WHACK goes the doors. I parked my car the once outside one of the windows, and saw a kid smash his parents car door into it. I had words with the parents, they said i didnt have any proof. What about the big red dent in the side of my passengers car door? :P

They paid up and i got it sorted. It happens at thees places all the time, people just dont have common manners.

I use the Felica for shopping at Tesco's,Whole car cost me less than a door of the Oct'y to be repaired;)
