Estate roof bars - removal (for wrapping roof)

Featured Replies

Been to the sign writing guys to get the roof wrapped. He's very experienced in wrapping whole cars and asked if there is a way to remove the roof bars. There are plastic covers which look as if they slide and clip in at either end, these seem mega tight and dont want to slide out, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

They do come off, the better bolts are underneath at either end :)

Underneath as in, inside the car the otherside of the headlining or behind then plastic covers? Not going to drop the headlining, not as it has the pano roof.....

Behind the plastic covers, it's a 10-15m job :)

Cool, do the plastic covers just slide back? They seem mega tight, I guess they need a bit of persuasion with a plastic tool or a screwdriver wrapped in insulating tape to prevent damage....

Yep, they will un-clip, just need a little encouragement :)

Can you post a picture once you have the roof wrapped?

Thanks
