Teeny Win10 PC plugs into HDMI.

I've no use for this but I really want it.

Agreed - so much want but so little use for me (1 desktop, 2 laptops, 2 tablets and 2 smartphones between 2 people).

I saw that and resisted - Ebuyer had a Nettop thing at £59.99  (currently £79.99)  at the weekend as well.  I resisted that as well..  If they  were a bit more useful (plex server.) my resistance might have been lower.

It can be booted with linux thus made a plex server... especially if you have a NAS :)

Lightning deal, must have expired.

I do like that Aspman, thanks for posting.

£70 on Amazon now, bundle it with a wireless keyboard for £20 and you're pretty much set.

We have a Intel Compute stick at work and it's trash. Not sure what spec the Lenovo has but the Atom in the ICS is way underpowered for its use. It consistently crashes and locks up, and on reboot occasionally can't find WiFi without a few more resets. All it does is run Chrome all day - there's nothing else on it - and it seems to find that hard.

It's a great idea, and I'd love to see one with a little more grunt, but as-is I'd not recommend a stick like this until I've had experience with something a little more powerful (the new 2016 compute stick looks a better spec).

That said, ours is running WIn8.1. I imagine Win10 may be a bit snappier - but, unfortunately ours doesn't have enough onboard storage to update and I've lost a perfectly good 32Gb USB drive trying to update through that from the Compute Stick dying during read/write during a session lasting about 6 hours of trying to update it to Win10

I have a LInx  10 tablet  which has the same processor, memory and MMC and is fine (I nearly had it running Elite dangerous but for the lack of RAM)  - I think its the small form factor that causes the trouble.  Probably better off buying one of the cheaper NUC type pcs (Ebuyer has a couple for less than £80) but they aren't the best spec.

OT io1901 but have you upgraded the Linx to Windows 10? I did and lost the tablet functionality, so wound it back to 8.1

Stupidly Win10 is less useful with tablets than Win8.

MS has a bit of a suicide complex going on right now

Where is that linux phone when you need it?

Yes, quite easy if I remember correctly   as I was pleasantly surprised - but I can't remember how I did it (I think I did the upgrade from a USB stick) - must be my age or something.

I think the Linx tabs are all W10 preinstalled now anyway.
