Fridge freezer into a hatchback? ?

Featured Replies

I'm selling a fridge freezer on Gumtree and I need to try and deliver it. Before I go out and start measuring, do you think it's even remotely possible? I think if I remove the rear seats and lay the front passenger seat right back?

So yeah I guess I need to get a tape measure out...

I managed to get a 5' freezer into an MG ZR - it was a squeeze and needed to fasten the boot shut though.

Last weekend I got a fridge/freezer in my Octavia mk3 estate. The freezer was about 5'10" tall. I had to move the front passenger seat all the way forwards, but the boot wouldn't quite close, maybe 1" to shut. I think I might have just got it shut if I'd have tilted the front seat forward.

Maybe with no rear seats and the front all the way back that'd work. I've just had the thought about removing the front seat, but I wonder if that would cause issues with airbags.

How tall is it?

If its one of the 6 foot things, you've no chance id say.

Put it on the roof!!

Saw that in Bulgaria, tied on with string!

Glad I was going the opposite way, good luck.

Dont think theres much chance. Youd have to take the passenger seat out.

Pretty sure they only just lie flat in my SWB vw transporter, and thats quite a lot longer than my fab :D.

Undercounter one will, full height one will be hanging out the boot. That's my experience of a 6 foot desk anyway!
