Bumpers + Side Mouldings

Featured Replies

Hi

Can anyone out there answer what to me should be a simple question (Because Skoda Uk and my dealer don't seem to be able to) I am ordering a " Yeti Outdoor Estate 1.2 TSI (110) in Jungle Green " What are the " Standard bumpers and side mouldings "  Black Plastic or are they colour coded ie Jungle Green.

Thanks for any help.

What spec are you ordering, S, SE, SEL, L&K?

I don't think any spec comes with black bumpers, but the side mouldings can alter. My SEL has black mouldings.

Black plastic side mouldings (even on L&K) bumpers are black plastic bottom half and body colour top half

Hi

Thanks for the replies.

Sorry i should have said it's the Yeti Outdoor SE, i know they don't come with full plastic bumpers it's just the side mouldings bumper inserts and sill beneath the doors that i'm puzzled about are they standard on the

Outdoor SE ?

Outdoor comes with those bits in black; Indoor gets painted sills and mouldings

Obviously the PO isn't interested but for other future readers, none of the Indoors get painted mouldings or in fact any mouldings at all as standard - they are a cost option.

All the ones I have seen have had them.

That doesn't make it right and you are usually the one to ask for proof to back up statements! :D

As I've stated on more than one thread my Euro 6 2016MY SE L came without any despite the brochure saying that it should come with body coloured side mouldings.

Not unusually the brochure hadn't been updated properly from when the SE L was the Elegance model. The Skoda web-site did indicate though that the side mouldings had ben dropped and the current configurator shows them as an optional extra not a standard fitment.

So, if you want side mouldings on a non-Outdoor Yeti you either have to specify the factory fit coloured ones or get them fitted afterwards by the dealer or fit them yourself. Whilst more expensive at least you can have the unpainted black ones which I think are a better choice.
