Good afternoon,

When the car is idealing it makes a rather loud ticking noise, if I apply power the ticking does increase in pase with the RPM.

Does anyone else have this? I've been told it normal for the engine?

I'm running a 2.0 TFSI, currently stage 1 revo with advanced timing.

Have your heard anyone else's mine ticks too

Check if the noise is coming on the top of the engine, if it is the tappets. The HPP sometimes produces some noise. Perhaps the oil is to be changed? 

It does sounds like it's coming from the top, it's not oil as I have to top it up almost every week at the moment (turbo issues - getting sorted next week).

That's a good idea, might investigate the tappets!

Always thought it was a noisey power unit.
