Will the roof bars from my mk1 vRS fit my mk2?

I'm reluctantly trading in my mk1 for a mk2 vRS next weekend.

Can anyone confirm whether the foot packs are the same?

The Thule website seems to think that the 754 system will fit both, but I'm certain that I read on this forum that they were different?

I guess I'll find out next Sunday morning but I could really do with knowing in advance.

For the mk2 you need fitting kit 1594 and rapid system 754 as that's what I had fitted to my hatchback and have just sold.
