KW V1 vs Bilstein B14 PSS

Featured Replies

I really cannot decide between the 2 of them and need to order in a few days, i'm after a decent set of coilovers for the occasional track days as well as yearly trip to the ring, which ones would you pick out of the 2 of them??

Both have very positive reviews, i'm not going to be adjusting them every month, just set up once and leave them alone.

I don't have experience in any other coilovers, but I opted for the B14's and I can't fault them! They're firm but not too firm, the grip is fantastic.

The kit is well made as well.. I nearly opted for the KW's as well but have had Bilstein springs on my last couple of motors so went with what I knew!

I'd say the Bilstein kit offers more of a handling improvement where as the KW kit is more of a comfortable option for everyday road use.

Would the ride with the Bilstein kit be like my AP's or a little worse? and how does the KW V1 kit cope on track being that soft and comfortable? thanks!

The KW kit is not soft compared to struts and springs!

They are a good quality kit, don't crash/bang etc but are plenty stiff enough to use on track.

You can have good ride quality and better handling, that's what you get with the bigger branded/more expensive coil overs :)

Looks like it'll be KW then!

The Bilstein kit is definitely one of the firmer options but it's still a refined ride.

The KW kit definitely isn't soft but yes you could comfortably use it on the track as well.

I had kw v1's on my mk1 fabia vrs and they were awesome. They were comfortable but more than capable when pushing on

KW V1's here also! Excellent bit of kit!

I had Jase's old set and loved them so much, I bought them new.

So + 3 :)

To be honest you can't go wrong with either kit, they're both super quality.
