Or the puddle comes out from under the doors!! (Another thread on here,)

It must be, no folding mirrors on mine, and no puddle lights either...

Snap.......I have the same car in the same colour! Having a tow bar fitted this week, did you get one on yours?

Lol, I'm still in two minds. The quote I've had (Westfalia, fixed swan neck, CANBUS integration and 7 pin single electrics) came out at £380 inc. VAT fitted.

It'll have to stay on the car when it goes back (bumper needs cutting).

For the half a dozen times a year we'll use it not sure if it'll be worth it!

Very true indeed. Lol

If drivers don't 'trust' the Auto function then follow this procedure:

1. Locate light switch with hand.

2. Rotate switch to desired lighting function.

3. Move hand away.

This has become quite a debate. My thanks for all the input. I am always cautious about relying on Auto settings, because it can lure you into a false sense of security. I prefer to think for myself.

I guess I can cope without a warning light on the instrument cluster, but I do think this is technology gone mad. Next stop is the self-driving car.

Thanks all

Park assist

Lane assist

Front assist

The tech is already becoming the norm.

Auto wipers?

Auto climate control?

Auto scanning radio?

Just to name a few.

Personally I don't like the dashboard binnacle lit up like a Christmas tree unless a temporary function is active I.e.fog lamps or if there is a problem with the car and it's flagged up on the binnacle. Then again some owners appear to have trouble switching off the radio..lol. That's why we have 'auto' stuff ;-)
