Parking sensor Module

Featured Replies

Hi

Does any one out there know where the Parking Sensor module is? I am try to get front parking sensors fitted to my MY14 vRS and I have been told by my friendly Skoda deal that it is somewhere under the dashboard.

Anyone have any ideas

Steve

+1, I'd like to fit sensors to the front of my car AND have them show on the screen.

Hi Mate

Once I find out where the Parkin Sensor Module is, I will get the system fitted!! The garage same it's in the rear, but tend to agree with others who say it's in the front under the fuses. Which would agree with the amount of wiring supplied.

The kit should connect into the system, and once coded will provide the display on the screen.

The kit is :-http://www.carsystems.pl/skoda-octavia-3-5e-park-pilot-front-w-ops-5q0919294b-upgrade-kit,id890.html

As a matter of interest, they have been VERY helpful, when I have asked them question [of which I have done a lot!]

I hope this helps

Once fitted I will report back

Steve

Check "Octavia III 2013 ➤ , Octavia III 2014 ➤ Electrical system - Edition 07.2013" repair manual, starting from page 114:

"Left-hand drive- the control unit is found on the relay and fuse
holder:
– Unlock the connectors -1- and -2- and remove by tilting out the
clamp.
– Press of catch peg -arrow- and pull the control unit -3- out of
the holder.
Right-hand drive - the control unit is at the bearing bracket/brake
pedal right:"

I'm curious if you are successful and get right results from it - I was hoping to implement the same one day.

Maybe you could write later a bit of report/implementation instruction if you manage it.

Many thanks - I am in France at the moment - will check when I return home. It's not an easy place to check - have having fitted a DTUK peddle box I know the limited access.

Will report back on finding! Plus when fitted will do the same.

Again many thanks

Hi R22JGB

I know now 99% where the Parking Sensor Module is - Thanks to langers2k - who went beyond the call of duty and used my VIN number to find out. It's located on the drivers side near the brake peddle.

My vRS is booked in for the third attempt at fitting on the 20th - so all being well and successful, I will update this thread.

Many thanks

Hi All

Just update the guys on the Octavia 3 forum. My vRS has been in today to have the parking sensors fitted - and they found the parking sensor unit [under the drivers side above the peddles. All fitted and working, very pleased - Many thanks to Langers2K for all his help.

FYI the sensors are programmed into the head unit. Will post some pics to prove when I take the vRS out next
