Disable Alarm

Recommended Posts

Right, but if you want to stay in the car locked (hopefully with the key on you), you have to open the door, press the button on the B pillar, shut the door, then lock the car and... enjoy your rest  .

This procedure applies also when leaving the car locked with the windows slightly opened, like on very sunny days.

If you want to sit in the car with the doors locked just press the button inside to lock the doors as this doesn't enable the alarm. Only the key enables the alarm but the lock/unlock button inside the car doesn't.

Yup, would have thought this was the obvious answer :D  It's designed for such uses, as well as anti hijack.
