Aerials and roof boxes

Featured Replies

First rest fit of the roof box ahead of the holiday season reveals the aerial taps a merry tune on the front of my roof box, annoying. By the time I've driven to the coast I may not have any patience left to pitch a tent with the 'help' of a 5yr old !

Front mounted aerial, I've tried to unscrew it to no avail ... how does it come off ???

What have you guys fitted as replacement? Do stubbies advertised to fit Polos fit?

Experiences requested ...

Mine is rear mounted, it unscrewed easily. Stubby did fit.

Mine unscrews to the end of the thread, but just won't come off !

Just found my old one (spare) It's about 14" with what seems to be wire spiral wound to the top inside the plastic coating. The thread is perfectly normal, about 4-5mm diameter (a guess). I seem to recall a clicking feeling when I took it off but nothing visible on the thread.
