Retrofitting A Spoiler On Finance?

Featured Replies

I wondered if anyone knew if I could fit (or have my dealer fit) a boot spoiler to my Octavia III? I didn't want the tiny lip spoiler that comes with the sports package but rather the one from a vrs.

Also, my car is on PCP finance but it's not too clear in my t&c's whether or not I can do cosmetic mods!

This is only an issue if you plan on handed the car back on time rather than part ex at maturity or early. If you plan on buying another Skoda without handing this car back I wouldn't worry, it's not like you're putting some horrid aftermarket spoiler on so it wouldn't have an impact on the resale value.

I don't see why not. If it's an OE spoiler and fitted but an approved skoda body shop and its left on at the end of the pcp. Only the finance can give the yes or no.

To be honest I don't intend on handing it back, I'm enjoying it and can see myself keeping it for a while! Il get on to my dealer in the morning and see what they can do for me then.

Thanks for the help!

If your keeping it, buy the VRS spoiler from Superskoda, costs loads less than a dealer, and then just get a decent body shop to fit it.

Don't forget to inform your insurer of the spoiler.

I had a Squeaky Bum moment when I wrote off my car on the journey home after getting alloy wheels fitted (my model came with steel wheels!).

Fortunately they were from the vehicle brand and the insurance assessor didn't notice. Or care?

How I got round the fitment of after market fog lights, now that is a different story! ;)
