fuel filter leak

Featured Replies

HI everyone,

i've recently had my skoda octavia 2 serviced and noticed a leak (drops) at the top of the fuel filter housing.  Just wanted some info on what cause may be and if it could affect other parts of the car.  Will be driving it back to garage so would it be safe to do so.

Appreciate responses

They have punched the seal

Make sure its not leaking onto the aux belt can cause it to snap taking out timing belt

They may have distorted the top of the filter housing by trying to prise it open with a screwdriver hence its now leaking but as above get it fixed asap as there has been case's of the fuel leaking onto the aux belt which then fails & takes the cambelt with it which can do lots of engine damage.
