Two things I'm missing over the Superb

Featured Replies

Bonnet lifters, and folding in mirrors at the press of the button.

Strange, as 3 years ago I wouldn't have givin' a jot about either tbh.

What you get used to I suppose.

Oh, and  the ring around the light switch was finished in piano black on the Superb too!

Just how pathetic am I ey?

Oh yes, and that extremely useful small elasticated storage net attached to the passenger side of the center console was just SSSSSSSO handy for storing my hand gel bottle to use after using those mauley pump triggers.

Sorry. The thread title is now wrong, and I'm sure I'm going to think about something else soon too.

Stay tuned!  :D

The grille was piano black on the Superb too, as was the lower black strip on the rear bumper.

Yes I know, now I'm just being silly.

You can get them for around a fiver for two from Aliexpress.

A bonnet lifter kit is available from superskoda! My VRS has the folding mirrors already though....

Where's the secret switch for it then, oh and the one for setting the tyre pressure monitor too whilst talking all secretive?

Hi again adenuf! My folding mirrors were part of my options that I specced, so unless you ticked the box you likely won't have it In afraid.

The tyre pressure monitor is easier though. Its not a button but instead inside the menus on the infotainment screen (the big one in the centre console!). Go into the vehicle menu, you should find it on one of the pages in there!

Any idea how these fit as the ad says that professional installation is required?

Good point.

I'm sure it can't be that difficult can it?

Well knock me down!

I've seen it on there too, but just assumed it was a button like on the Superb.

Thanks fior that, I'll have a deeper look.

I'm slowly getting used to these differences.

Still very happy with the car btw.  :sun:

I'm really pleased you are happy with it! Everyone is here to help at the end of the day! ;)

My New Octy has so many things standard that I haven't had on any cars, my last car in 2009 was a 1997 volvo T4 which I paid £400 quid for and that was the newest car I ever owned.

I've never had Air Con (which worked), SAT NAV, remote central locking (which worked), Cruise Control (which worked), alarm (which worked).

Touch wood, I feel totaly spoilt at the moment  :sun:
