I want to change my gearbox oil on My octy 1z vrs. the gearbox code is JLW.

 

I want a performance oil, as i drive it like i stole it !

 

your help would be appreciated.

I think when I changed mine, the general consensus was that the genuine VW/Audi stuff was very good.

It's the synthetic stuff for the 6 speed box and mineral for the 5 speed although both are the same spec.

Skoda UK will be able to tell the exact oil.

I can't remember the part number I'm afraid.

Just use the vag stuff from your local dealer or tps as it is fully synthetic and their gearboxes are very fussy on what oil you put in as after market oils can it makes the change very stiff when cold. I've tried stuff like redline and ended up draining it out and replacing it with vag oil as it made the change horrid.

Yes i am looking for a good smooth gear change also particulary when its cold. I have had good results with fuchs titan .. in other gearboxes
