No Wipers!

Featured Replies

Just been to start my VRS and the front windscreen wipers have packed up?!

The rear wiper is working and all other electrics such as lights, heater, air con, stereo are working fine but i get nothing from the front wipers at all.

Anyone any ideas or what might be wrong?

The car is only 3 weeks old!

Blown fuse mate, happend to me and a few others on here, cant remember for sure but i think its fuse 16? check it out.

cheers mate, fuse 15 looks like it has gone which was the Windscreen Wipers fuse.

I take it i can just buy replacements from such quality places like halfords?

Call me stupid but in this weather have you looked to see if the wipers are frozen to the screen :p that might surgest why :)

i checked straight away that they were not frozen to the windscreen, the weird thing is i had been driving the car about 2 hours ago and they were working fine.

But might you have tried to use the washers when fluid was frozen, which also has blown fuse effects...

Fuses are standard, Halfords etc will do... (replace with the same of course).

Usual cause at this time of year is sometimes they might be slightly frozen... try to go and blow a fuse.

If not the fuse have you opened the bonnet today at all? Did you shut it fully, sometime the fabia bonnet doesn't shut fully or atleast my one doesn't everytime. The front wipers wont work if it's not shut fully

Happened to me today, wipers froze to the screen and the fuse popped, the thing is the fuse guide in the manual does not tie in with the fuse box, it's a mini 10 amp in the middle of the box.

strange thing is, you use the front wash wipe and the rear wiped :-) those crazy czechs

Deffo the fuse though

AHHH BRILL....I have had the same problem this morning. Think it must have been the wash fluid that frooze though (despite having winter strenght wash in there) and now my rear wiper is moving when i try and use the front wash.

Thanks.
