VRS 230: To paint the wheels or not?

Featured Replies

I've ordered a VRS 230, and would like the opinion of what 230 owners think. I've never seen the wheels in the flesh, , but have ordered black magic. Do owners like the wheels, or do you think I should get them powder coated/ painted or whatever all black, prior to collection?

Wait until they've been damaged & then decide on a more suitable colour?

lol..I've got anti kerb ocd !

The 230 wheels in the fleh look super - I wouldn't change them.

I wish I could have them on my 220 TSI, I would be (begrudgingly) be willing to swap For my 18" in mint condition :-)

They are awesome in the flesh, you are mad to even consider changing! Just wait!

They look great... I ordered the black pack + just to get them on my 220 TSI. Then realised they weren't black like they were on the 230. Much prefer them in black

Think the colour is fine but colour and design is personal taste. I'm not a fan of the design at all

Personally I'd leave them as they are until they need a refurb.

I'd much prefer the optional 19" Anthracite Phoenix wheels from the Superb L & K, still dark but much more grown-up than the Extremes.....

For myself, Tonka-Toy wheels on a Skoda just don't make sense!

It's not an option on the vRS 230, but if you didn't like the Extremes & had some spare pennies to spend, the Phoenix wheels might be a sensible choice.
