Full list of each trim level's specification?

Featured Replies

Wonder if anyone knows where I can see a full list of what each trim level's specification is? The brochure seems to only highlight the main differences.

For instance, the SE L Exec I looked at in my local dealer had rear and front footwell lighting but the brochure only seems to have this on the L & K?

I think with some dealer cars having options fitted, I don't want to be misled and it seems that some of the sales people I talk to don't know themselves what exactly is standard on a particular trim level.

I am probably angling towards an SE spec at the moment but I see from the owners list, most people have SE Business and upwards!

I was looking at an SE-L speck then priced up on an online dealer New-Car-discounts, there are others, for less of a price I ended up with a L&K spec. car. The brochure should list the items over and above the spec. below it EG all items listed in the spec. below + what the brochure says, and this goes right the way through from to lowest spec. to the L&K. I has a very good sales Girl she knew exactly what was standard and what was extra, however when it came to price she didn't stand a chance against NCD

^ Seconded. I did exactly the same, L&K plus options for same price as dealer's SE L.

SE Business is a great spec to cost ratio, but you can't get it on PCP which could be an issue if that's what you're planning. Personally I think SE is a little too basic on the options, so if an SE L can be stretched to its worth the extra IMHO. Note that SE L sits above SE business trim too.

If you're looking at SE through a dealer, as russ said above, definitely check out NCD or buyanewcar as you'll probably find the next trim up for the same price (or less).

The SEL Exec does sit above the SE Business.....but some inexplicable reason the SEL Exec does not have front parking sensors which are standard on the SE Business.

It's the one thing they should have included as standard.

Having just ordered an SE business I am also slightly confused as to what spec this exactly has as an MY17 car. The dealers didn't really give any detail and the brochure is contrary to what is being said here as it looks like it is not updated from my16. Can anybody shed some light for me?

Agreed, it's a huge oversight. The SE Business has obviously and cleverly been specced to target fleet buyers and entice them away from other manufacturers which is why you get such a good spec for almost the same price as SE. Not including the front sensors for the SE L is silly though, they should have been included just no park assist, then you still get a bonus by moving up to L&K. Even as an option they're not cheap at nearly £400 on SE L. In fact if you were going to spec them on that trim, it would make much more sense to pay another £200 and get the park assist too.

That's exactly what I convinced my Brother to do on his Octavia 3 TSI VRS pay the extra and get the park assist!

I half wished I had added front sensors, but couldn't justify the price for what is mostly already built in. A couple of extra sensors and a dealer only software tick. I'll just learn to know the front limits. It is a mistake by Skoda though as SE L Exec should have all that SE Biz has plus some.
