Parcel shelf wont stay locked across

Featured Replies

Hi All

My parcel shelf isn't locking on one side when pulled across is this easy to fix if does anyone know how?

Hi. I'm having similar issue as yourself. Recent started. The shelf itself doesn't look damaged. Mine locks and looks fine when closed but after driving for a while, the right side keeps releasing and dropping down :-(

That's exactly what mines doing asked if warranty would cover it but skoda said not was thinking of taking it apart at the weekend and having a look as want it to close as it will be parked in a hotel for a couple of days over the weekend

Are you talking load cover (estate) or parcel shelf (hatch)?

The three people in trouble all have estates - just look at details below their names.

Well after sharkys post it seems mine has done exactly that and the little locking block had popped of presumably because I laid a picnic blanket on it, thanks for your help.

Mines an estate btw with like a roller blind style parcel shelf

In my experience it's usually just the little spring loaded locking clip in the boot trim. The part is only about £3-4 but fitting it is a bit more tricky

I've just noticed my Combi load cover only catches on the one side , I tried to adjust he offending catch , but it fell downwards behind the  plastic trim & I'm not taking that lot out  to get it . . I noticed the supplied  pic in Sharky's post  has a part number on it , that could prove usefull.  Anyway at the moment , if its needed I g found a Magic trick with a plastic clothes peg..
