Not sure New,

But the cast new are £150-170 online.

Passat one's i picked up from a local Breaker's yard removed myself from a vandalized Passat. £40 :)

S3 lower arm's coming too.

With S3 caliper's i'd say i'd weigh what i did before.

Why didn't you fit the Passat lower arms?

The Passat hub carrier is thicker where the brake carrier bolts on.  Did you have any issues with getting sufficient thread engagement?

Excellent mod.  Well done!

Passat CC and the later models have the alloy lower arms.  Or the Audi S3.  As a long shot - possibly the Superb as well.

Tie rod ends attach to the hub carrier, not the LCA.  The console bush housing has slightly different bolt holes on the Passat.  You can re-drill them or retain the stock Octavia units.

It looks like i have spacers fitted but i don't.

If i go for a wheel change.will i have to watch the ET and fitment ect.

Sorry poor explanation .

You will, but 5mm either side won't make any difference.  It depends where you want the wheel to sit in the wheel arch.

I know when I went from 6.5" ET52 to 8" ET35 it affected toe-out on turns but for most people they wouldn't have noticed the slightly off-puting behaviour when turning in.

If it's been aligned & feels good I wouldn't worry too much

The wheels you have at the moment are 7.5" ET50 aren't they?

If you go to 8" ET45 that will be an extra 11mm poke outwards.  It should be OK providing you have sufficient guard clearance.

18" diameter x 9" wide ET52

I know the Audi TT 17x8.5" ET50 fit.  I have no idea about 9" ET52.  There are others in this Octy2 section that have been adventurous with wheels - they will know.  There have been a few threads on extreme wheel fitments.

What tyres would you be running?
