Removing the headlights - Front bumper must be removed?

Recommended Posts

To remove the headlight entirely you have to take the bumper off and then remove three screws.

To remove the bulbs only, in most cases you don't have to remove anything besides the rubber caps. The exception is that for some bulbs you have to unscrew the diesel filter or the battery to gain access to the rubber cap.

eyegr I'm talking about the headlight, are you sure the bumper needs to be taken off??

I haven't tried it myself, but I am pretty sure, yes.

Quoting the workshop manual:

For an easier fitting of the headlight, mark its position in a suitable manner (e.g. with marker, adhesive tape) before slackening the screws.

– Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.

– Remove front bumper

– Release screws (arrows)

– Disconnect plug and remove headlight (1)

thank you igor - you are exactly right.

The Xenon headlights are Euro 660 without shipping and costumes, I have purchased a projector kit with angel eyes, an led strip and a xenon kit for less than Euro 150

I will try to take as much photos as I can from the project and I'll post it here.
