Hi again, looking for some help on removing the gear knob as i want to replace it. Am i right in saying it just screws off anyi clock wise? Thanks

It doesn't screw off. There is a metal clip you have to cut.

 

 

You can get away with a hose clip for refitting....

OMG what a spelling gaff

I remember struggling to cut the one on the missus's car when she wanted a gaiter without holes in it. Seemed to me like a mental way of securing it at the time...

Don't cut the metal clip open it up with a small screwdriver and reuse. If you use a jubilee or hose clip the screw part with make a hole in your gaiter in no time.
