Before I leave my current place of work I thought it would be rude not to make maximum use of the airfield

My colleague has an 18 month old 150bhp MX5 and has challenged me to a drag race.

personally I think it'll be easy for me given the spec of his car:

Power 146bhp

Torque 124 lbft (168 nm)

0-62mph 8.4s

weight 1100 kg

Compared to mine

Power 220bhp

Torque 223 lbft (302 nm)

Anyone disagree? Yes it will be in a straight line and yes, I know they're good in the corners.

I'm considering taking a passenger to video the event :p

I only weigh 9st.

Tough call....250-300 kgs is a lot of weight to consider, and MX5s are quick cars because of their weight....then again, you would probably pull of top end...not sure 0-60, but most definitely top end you'll pull away like an aeroplane..

Just make sure he is not bluffing you m8, I know 2 people with MX5's who have them supercharged, very discreet, one is pushing 200 bhp @ the wheels.

Take the challenge, but have a sneaky look under the bonnet if all is well, the octy will take it
