Out of curiosity, what are you trying to achieve by replacing the CCM?

I think the reason for this is to get the Convenience option in the Facelift Maxidot

Passat CCMs did allow this

I don't think it will work properly

correct my friend this is the reason that i am thinking about doing this.

The NEW my 2010 cluster that i have in my Car do not support comfort menu because of old ccm.

The ways to have this function are 2

1) fl bcm retrofit ( possible but needs a lot of work .......)

2) or trying Auto polar fis module which can open several comfort menu options.

any ideas????

vv

Hmm, the OP says his car is a preFL, so must be around 2008 to have gen 3 locks and the BT module. This already supports the comfort menu in maxidot -- it's what my 08 plate preFL estate had from factory even without a factory maxidot. All the menus show up in the retrofit maxidot.

FACELIFT CLUSTER is fitted and uses BAP

Polar would be the way to go.As said, the AR module would not work in your car as it is for different door locks from the BT version.

Yes the AR version would open the menus, as it did when I upgraded mine, but with mine, the upgraded and original CCMs came from the same age vehicle with the same type of door locks.

Mike

Tell me something Mike,

when you say upgraded ccm , what you mean?

do you have in your Car latest cluster like me?

is there somewhere that i can buy upgraded bt ccm?

I installed preFL maxidot in my non maxidot preFL car.  It originally had midline CCM and I upgraded it because my original midline did not give the menus in the new maxidot.

Mike

how you upgrade your ccm?

or you bought another NEW one latest model

the ccm that you bought from ebay, was like the above?

No, I explained above that the car that this was done with is an early (2004) Octavia 2 with gen2 door locks. It originally had a BN version (midline) and I changed it to a AR (highline).  AR or CB versions are both highline and they would both work.

The BT version is for the later preFL Octavias (about 2008) which have gen 3 door locks. A BT version would not work in the above car as the door locks are different, and would not operate the central locking.

The version I bought from ebay is the same AR version that you list in the first post

Mike

If I remember correctly Mike didn't you first try a passat  3C0 AR version and it didn't work properly? before you bought the 1K0 AR version

Read the posts again.  The AR IS NOT compatible with your BT because the lock controllers are DIFFERENT.

Install AR module and your locks will NOT WORK.

Install Passat module and your locks WILL NOT WORK

can you tell me the exact part Number of ccm that you have now in your Car please?

Same as the one you quote in post 1. I have pre FL cluster in my preFL car so what I have is of no relevance to you with a  FL cluster

correct

Not quite sure what you're trying to say here Mike......... :p :p

OP has a BT version (highline) which doesn't support the BAP protocol needed for a FACELIFT maxidot cluster that he has installed in his preFL car. He asked about changing it for an AR version (highline) in post one, and he has been repeatedly told that the AR/CB versions are not interchangeable with the BT he already has (because BT is for gen 3 locks, AR/CB is for gen 2), and has also been told more than once that the 3C0 Passat module he has mentioned has been tried by myself unsuccessfully. Neither the AR nor the Passat module he wants to change to will work the locks, and he would be better to leave the CCM as it is and use a Polar box to get the maxidot menus he wants. He has also been told more than once that my AR upgrade from a midline module is fine in my car because I don't have a facelift cluster in the car, it is a preFL cluster in a preFL car, so what I have in mine will not work in his -- he's been told, and still he asks the same questions.

Mike

So, you're saying is that what, and how, he wants to do it won't work? Hmmmm, if only that message had been clearer from the start. Oh.....wait.....hang on.......... ;) ;)

Hi, I tried to found what CCM will be suitable for upgrading my Convenience module but I really didn't find a guarantee number for upgrade. The only thing that I want to archive for now is rain closing, but in near future I want to add at least electrical seats to car, so I will need a MAX CCM. In my Skoda octavia 2 2007, I have a CCM with code: 1k0 959 433 CP, the module is with 5 connectors and remote key works with 434hz. I think that the best solution for upgrade will be 1k0 959 433 CR but as I already mentioned, I'm not 100% sure about this. Could you please help me?

Also, do you know how complicated will be to change my 5 connectors CCM with one with 4 connectors?

Thanks a lot!
