I have an tick box option in my Assistance Settings which states:

 

"Top Speed of Dynamic Road Sign Display" or similar.

 

What does it mean?

 

 

For trailer use. Displays the towing speed restriction as opposed to the actual signed top speed of the road.

Where?

I don't have TSR, on sat nav?

It depends on what optional extras you have fitted.

 

In the CAR > Driver Assistance > Dynamic Road Sign Display you may have some of the following...

1. Show in Instrument Cluster - activate/deactivate sign display in instrument cluster (maxi dot)

2. Trailer Recognition (show road signs) - activate/deactivate sign display relevant to trailer use

3. Top speed - set the top speed for towing a trailer

4. Warning - activate/deactivate and set criteria for excess speed warning

 

In my case I have TSR but no tow hook, so the only options displayed are 1 and 4.

 

AFAIK, from both the Vehicle and Infotainment manuals...

1. is only available with TSR,

2. for the NAV display, plus Maxi Dot if TSR equipped,

3. set a trailer excess speed warning,

4. set a general excess speed warning (0 or in 5 mph overspeed stages)

Coops, I see in another thread you had a third-party tow hook fitted. The manual refers to the Skoda original tow hook being needed for the functions, so I assume the fitter also coded that for you.

Fitter did all the coding for the electrics so I assume that this "new" function is added with the coding if you have TSR.
