I AM not a happy bunny. Went to Sainsbury's in Leicester yesterday and badly dented the underneath and side of my beloved 6 month old Fabia Vrs when i accidently drove into/across a low protruding brick wall.

Just been to the dealer and he reckons he's can put it right ( a relief cus it looks really bad) but it's going to cost about

If a dealer can do it for £400, I reckon it could be done less at a dedicated bodyshop/sprayshop.

I had a boot smoothed & resprayed, front bumper made good and sprayed, rear arch cut back, rust removed, remade and resprayed. All for 300 crisp £1 notes.

I think the anti-corrosion (10 year?) is just for the bare chassis? I might be wrong though. I tried to claim from Skoda UK with my rear arch rusting, but then found it had been in a little scrape before I bought it as there was evidence of a previous repair which obviously wasn't good enough.

See what the dealer says - All they'll do is take it to somewhere similar to be done anyway - Its very rare for a Skoda garage to do all bodywork on site.

we still get them up here in scotland, a pest coz you cant get rid of them when your down south, even trying to spend scottish notes in england is nigh impossible even tho they are sterling and as good as any other notes and i think its the same for northern ireland notes.

OT, but I've never, ever had trouble spending Scottish notes where I live :confused:

Not naming and shaming Mike, but I'd be tempted to take Ross up on his offer as opposed to using a local dealer. MK's only a short hop down the M1 - cost you a fiver in fuel if you take it steady

Peace of mind that they're not ripping you off's gotta be worth a fiver, even if you use the original dealer.

I still don't see many Fab vRS around Leicester although there is a silver one in my village (normally with a female driver) and I saw a black one identical to mine in Wigston this lunchtime.

It was Sainsbury's on Belgrave Road, needless to say i have now changed to Asda or Tesco to do my Weekly shopping!

I'm from Birstall by the way, don't get out to Wigston much which may explain why you haven't seen me!

It was a 54 plate and driving into Somerfield car park; we were parked in the Frederick St car park and I don't think the driver noticed our vRS.
