Do you want to try your hand at organising an event in your area?

Perhaps you've been to a few or feel perhaps there should be one?

Well I'd like to help you get any events of the ground in way I can.

Ideally I'd like it if those wishing to set meets up think carefully before doing so, with that in mind, this is my present model for meets in your area.

Pick a venue.

Pick a day, eg 2nd tuesday of each month.

Make an entry in the Calendar for the event on each month, I know you can do a repeat event, but this creation process creates a new thread for discussion etc ;) and makes it apepar elsewhere on the site. This creation, will not create a thread in your area forum, rather in the overall section, we move to the next step.

Ok so you have your venue, date and published calendar entry, now PM me and I'll forward this to the news team :D or the tray next to me.

Ideally we can get meets up and running where demand fits.

On the back of this I've no problems with meets overlapping that is 2 in one month for busy areas, if demand fits.

After all that, if you can't make a meet, make sure somebody else can, hence where demand, because if it's only two of you then it's not a meet when one is not available.

One other thing is to tell the bar staff, and for new faces to ask the bar staff, this saves people wanering around looking for a guy wearing orange shoes they saw on a picture ;) or post your pic.

If you have any questions what so ever, please fee lfree to post here, in fact please do discuss meets here, or ideas for meets.

2006 the year of meets.

Thank you for reading.

Still trying to find a place for another BBQ round Marlborough Wiltshire for this year (2006) as soon as we do we'll post it up :D

Slightly off topic but relevant, is there going to be a national meet this year?
