Cambelt

Featured Replies

Hi all, it's been a while since I last posted here. My 60 plate Vrs Diesel has now done 60k and Im checking to see if it requires a cam belt change. My nearest main dealer has said they "think" it's 120k and/or 5 yrs for this model.

Best place to get the right current information is a dealer.

My '61 plate TDI is every 5 years if it helps.

Wouldn't be in the handbook or something?

And my TDI is five years for the first change and every four years after that. Confusing!

In Aus it's 105k kms or 5 years as I had mine changed yesterday..

Skoda changed the time interval from four to five years on cars built after September 2010. My superb was built in October 2010 and the dealership and Skoda UK both confirmed it was five years.

The only accurate way to determine the interval is to contact Skoda UK using this form with your VIN.

As in the OP too many dealers are clueless and give out duff information.

Skoda UK got back to me within 24 hours...

61 plate VRS CR with nearly 70K on it. I believe it's 5 years or 111K ish miles, which ever comes first.

Just get it done even for peace of mind/ or asking everyone and guessing...

Can someone please provide part numbers for a cambelt kit, and WP for a 2012 VRS TDI CEGA engine please?

Thanks

thanks, i checked with a skoda dealer and was told it is 03L198119F, not sure what the difference is with endings A,B,C,D,E,F though.

thanks
