Question about parking sensors

Featured Replies

Evening all.

I am a newbie here so please go easy.

I currently have a skoda fabia 1.2 tsi 110 2016.

Picked it up last Friday.

I have a question regarding the parking sensors on my SE.

They work brilliantly but they seem to stay on/active for about 10 seconds or so after I have removed it from reverse gear. So if I back up to a wall then stop. Engage neutral or 1st gear the sensors still beep for about 10 seconds.

Is this normal.

Thanks in advance guys.

Chris.

So does mine, also front sensors.

Can be turned off temporarily by pushing the P-button found on the panel far left. Or maybe right for you lefties. :)

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know it is normal. Even if slightly annoying. [emoji106]

It's so if your manoeuvring in tight spaces. :)

I have only, in the past, had a car with rear parking sensors, now that wife has the Polo SEL with front and rear ones, the system is active all the time - though it does warn you if someone has stopped almost inside the rear - without you needing to look in the rear view mirror!!
