Why the car is for sale?

After much deliberation I have decided to put my Fabia VRS SE up for sale.

I originally had this for sale a year ago and withdrew it in the end as the sale fell through. I then decided to keep the car and get some race injectors fitted, stronger head-bolts and head re-skimmed.

However I have not used the car much in the year (only 400 miles) and as a result I think it’s time to move on from the modified car scene and get a more sensible car (my wife says I need to anyway – much pressure here!!).

A lot of you will already know the car as it has been the subject of various threads both from myself and its previous owner “Bossfox” – to be fair the previous threads were far more interesting.

 

 The car is the “09” plate Fabia VRS SE (which is unique in itself) and has the fitting plate of “SE09FAB” which is included in the sale.

 It was modified by Jabbasport to Stage 3 in 2011 when it had c22,000 miles on the clock and has the following modifications, in no particular order;

 

Garret G25 hybrid turbo (This has just been fully rebuilt by AET Turbo) Custom Downpipe

Pro Alloy Intercooler

Milltek exhaust

Helix Sintered paddle clutch with Solid flywheel (lightened and balanced)

Oil Cooler

Devils own Water methanol injection (Will include methanol)

Quaife LSD

KW3 Suspension (three way adjustable)

Front and Rear ARB

Brembo front Brakes – New Ferodo 2500 pads Dec 2014 – only done a few thousand miles since then and no trackdays.

ECS 2 piece rear brakes

Fully Poly-bushed all round

Jabbasport cone in a box filter

It also now has as mentioned above;

DSSR Race injectors

Stronger Headbolts

4bar MAP sensor

 

At the time of the work being done above (the car has not been used since) the car had its cambelt replaced and a service including a new condenser.

 

Being the Fabia VRS SE it does benefit from extras namely;

Full leather with front seats piped in Blue and including the unique SE number embossed “201” in this case.

Cruise Control

Privacy Glass

6 CD interchanger

 

This car also benefits also from having factory fitted rear parking sensors (rare for this model)

 

I have also added an R32 steering wheel – a fantastic mod which I purchased brand new.

Also I have a G-Lock on the seatbelts which is also a great mod, especially with the leather seats.

The car sits on 17inch Octavia VRS alloys.

Had a brand new set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres fitted last year and have only done 2000 miles maximum on these.

 

With regards to receipts I do have a folder full that run into £000’s – I haven’t totted them up but not far off a number beginning with 2, that isn’t £2, £20, £200 or £2,000 !!!,  admittedly they are not all for new mods but repairs and servicing too but all the same a lot of money has been spent.

 

All the recent work has been completed by Shark performance in Mansfield, a well respected tuner and the dyno following a really smooth custom map is now showing  250bhp and 390lbft torque (see picture)

 

I have always driven the car with a degree of mechanical sympathy and allow the car to warm up both before and after a spirited drive. I have down a couple of track days around Blyton, where to be honest it comes into its own as the suspension set-up is fantastic coupled with the traction from the LSD. Many have commented on how well it goes around the track.

 

Forgot to add – the car has still only 52,750 miles so is still low for a 7 year old car.

 

The Bad Bits

As with all cars there are some bad or should I say non-perfect things;

 There are the usual stone chips (they all have them)  and a couple of the Wheels could benefit from a refurb. Air con not working reflected in price reduction.

Now for the bit you are all interest in, the price. £5,995 which  is a giveaway price based on its spec and how much has been spent on it (it owes me a lot more!!)

 

I have really enjoyed this car and it always puts a smile on my face whenever I get behind the wheel.

It is a great car and very sensibly priced.

But I have moved on to more race based stuff now than road cars.

 

Whoever buys it will be getting a hell of a package though.  Not to mention possible the last ever registered mk1 Fabia.

I have now bought a new car and need the Fabia to go quickly now as have too many cars on the drive.

 

I have therefore reduced the price dramatically to 5,995 which is an absolute bargain based on the fact;

 

Its a Fabia SE (in arguably the best colour)

 

It's an 09 Plate - probably the last registered

 

Its only got 53,000 on the clock

All being well buyer collecting on Wednesday - already missing it and it hasn't even gone yet!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances my buyer has had to withdraw from the purchase of the car and as a result is now back up for sale.

Any chance you can wait until  sell mine ?
