Is anyone running 17 inch wheels on here? Has anyone had a problem with rubbing on full lock and how wide is too wide?

There are hundreds running 17s. Popular upgrade, easy fit 8x17 with 205/215 40R17

You'll get fouling and rubbing or arch protrusion (mot fail) if you space wider tyres, plus it'll ruin the handling, make it aquaplane, use more fuel and slow you down.

    This, I am running 215/40/17 on a 7j spider with 11mm spacers and it rubs over bumps if i turn the wheel.

    I used to run 215/40/17 with Octy Spiders (no spacers) lowered a bit and had rubbing on full lock.

    There are hundreds running 17s. Popular "upgrade", easy fit 8x17 with 205/215 40R17
