Little bits and bobs

Featured Replies

After having the vrs 3 years I decided I no longer liked the perforated leather (steering wheel ,handbrake and gear knob/gaiter) as it always looks dirty and dusty

Managed to source a replacement set from what I think was an optional extra fabia blueline

Some comparisons :

Much prefer the 4 spoke to the 3

What do you think

Also got round to cutting down the gearstick while I changed these over cut off around 1"1/4' to the bottom of the hole in the centre but no pictures

Yeah I'm not a fan of all the perforations. Looks like your replacement could do with a clean and leather treatment, as it's very shiney.

You also could have replaced the 3-spoke for one out of a mk4 Golf, that's what I did.

It is clean only shiny and I did look at the golf ones but I'm not too keen on the 3 spoke much prefer the 4

Will leather treatment dull the wheel ?

Yeah should give it a nice matt finish.

Glad your happy with the new wheel.

This was my before and after:

That three spoke wheel is nice, not sure which I prefer though...

Got the steering wheel buffed up yesterday with a magic pad thing taken the shine off looks and feels much better not so slippy now

And the 3 spoke looks much better than that standard one
