Barclays Mobile Banking

Featured Replies

Anyone here use it??

I have some concerns about the apps behaviour since last night, and was wondering it anyone else is having issues.

Last night SWMBO got several "Service not available - please try again later" messages; then she was asked to enter her PIN, but wanted FIVE digits for a FOUR digit PIN and crashed.

This morning, trying to run the app and it asks for full registration details, bank details AND PIN.

Barclays Fraud line are offering no help, they say there are no reported issues over the last 24 hours; to enter the requested details and then phone them, so they can check the account hasnt been hacked!!

The login for the mobile app has always been 5 digits on my windows phone, it's not the same as the card pin number. Did have the same messages as you the other day, took it as they were updating something.

I do Internet Banking with Gods Bank, " The Yorkshire "

You usually can't log in around Midnight, must be updating or paying my Wages in. Always need a 5 digit code.

Maybe I am wrong about the PIN then, not my account - SWMBO's - still, it DID lock up and need to be forced closed last night (Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - only a few months old and stock ROM)

Anyone tried to use it today and got asked to re register/input all your details??

Barclays were insistent there was nothing going on at their end last night, or this morning.

As a precaution, I deleted the app and downloaded a fresh copy, which does exactly the same; so it seems that - for some reason, SWMBOS app "lost" all of her log in details, and she has to register again; what a PITA.

Mines been fine all day. Loaded it a few times throughout the day and last night.

I saw Mobile and thought back to the days when Mobile meant in a Van and thought - next step to saving cash- close some more branches and send a van round ( as in days of old)

The way things are going, they will be back to a van touring the local towns and villages, one morning or afternoon per week in each.

No explanation from Barclays over what was going on, or why all her info was deleted; it wasnt just lost from her phone, she had to get the bank to go through the whole process from the beginning.

No issues here either. Also didnt need to do the whole thing again when I changed phones, just put in some basic details, they text me a code and I stuck it in the app, good to go.

I know the routine, we went through it about 3 months ago when SWMBO changed her phone; THIS was as if they had lost every detail of her from the system, and had to start from scratch, right down to getting a new access code from the local branch before she could run the app.

Oh thats not good.
