Road Rallies for Team Spinndrift in 2006

Featured Replies

This year I will be co-driving in the ANWCC Road Rally Championship in a 1275cc Mini driven by Nev Astbury.

Our first event will be the Moonbeam Rally on 11/12 March in Shropshire.

We're hoping to use the experience on the road rallies with a view to competing in some endurance rallies hopefully including the Lormbard Revival Rally in November.

Later on in the year we will also both be driving the car in the ANWCC Hill Climb Championship at Scammonden Dam.

One of our main aims is to show how much fun you can have with a car that cost

Sounds like fun, car may have cost

Not a vastly huge amount.

Roll cage, sump guard, manifold, exhaust, radiator, new fuel and brake lines, new suspension and thats about it.

All the other bit we had such as seats, fire extinguisher, belts etc.

Probably not much off £2K.

I hope you'll be doing a few " dahn sarf "?

We were going to do the South West Endurance Rally but we won't have had much practice together so we'll be doing the Mid Summer Endurance Rally based in Chelmsford in June hopefully.

Good luck

Good luck

Best of British to you, your oppo and you car!

Well we've had a bit of a change of plans.

Still doing the ANWCC Road Rally Championship in the Mini but as this is too modified for endurance rallies we have just got a Rover Metro which we will be using to contest the Torq Bar Endurance Road Rallying Championship.
