Dash passenger side rattle

Featured Replies

Along with the boot opening I ask Wings to see if anything could be done with the rattle from the passenger side of the dash, I was told they took it for a drive and heard nothing. I collected the car this morning and the rattle was easily heard.

Has anyone had the dash rattle fixed under warranty?

Stubs

I had this recently,

I took to the garage and the service guy came for a drive and noted the rattle and scheduled the car to be brought in the following week.

When i brought the car into the garage, the service guy was not there , i picked up a loan car and a few hours later the head mechanic called me to say come pick up your car , there there is no rattle. After speaking to him on the phone for a while, i discovered , they opened the glove compartment , saw an empty water bottle and closed it again, They didnt even look at the rattle.

Eventually , i had to collect the car, wait for the service guy to return to work , booked the car in again , and they fixed the rattle. They dismattled the glove compartment and put it back together again, tightening all components.

No rattle since , that was around march of 2016

Oh bye the way: When i was having the phone discussion with the head mechanic, he advised me that any rattle in the dash was NOT covered under warranty. They would look at this as a "goodwill gesture" ......

I've had a rattle from the N/S/F area of the dash for ages, tried everything to stop it, and having been out in my dads car, that has exactly the same rattle in that area,

It's a slightly metallic noise

Same here, can be quite annoying. The rattle seams to be going from inside the dash, near the windscreen. I've removed the side panel but couldn't find anything. It's definitely not vents.
