Auxiliary heating

Featured Replies

Do all octavias now have this feature. Can't see it mentioned in the brochure

Its not available in all markeds, Thats probably why you can't find it in the brochure.

I'd imagine its only available in some markets like Scandanavia and perhaps as an option in some others.

I definately don't have it in my Swiss spec Octavia.

Its an option in Scandinavia as well. But its worth every penny.

Not on my UK spec Elegance. I had one on my VW Touran. They called it a Webasto heater and only came on below 6°C. Loved it apart from the hot paraffin smell.

Webasto is the brand of the aux heater.

Ebersprecher (spelling?) is also big on aux heaters.

The petrolversion doesnt smell as bad as the dieselversion.

Had both Webasto and Eberspächer on various machines. Top E running been well on one of mine for years. Although we don't see the Baltic temps here in the UK I've given them quite a bit of use over the years.

Unfortunately they would not do a factory fit on a RHD car so I was told by Skoda CZ. Unfortunately Webasto UK are such a clueless bunch that I don't hold out any great hopes getting one properly plumbed into the Octy Have to just put up with the heated seats and the fact that the old 1.8 heats up pretty quick
