Dent to car boot - any advice

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm looking for some advice on a dent which we've sustained to the boot on our octavia. See pics attached, it's a roughly vertical dent but has taken paint off on the upper edge of the boot. Any views on difficulty and cost of getting a repair done?

Thanks

Keith

I suspect that may well be new hatch territory, the creases mean it will never be possible to repair it with the existing metal and make it look like new. There is little to no access to the rear of the panel, making a repair difficult.

Yeah - that was my fear. Presumably the option is to get a used part (and is it possible to get this sprayed to match) or what else - go to a dealer?

Ok - thanks for the assistance.

with a second hand tailgate and changing it over yourself, you would be looking at 4hrs labour plus paint, materials and sundries if you cant find one in your colour.
