Heaters not working

Featured Replies

Hi

My heaters have stopped working and I'm pretty stumped as to why. Air con still turns on but the fans aren't blowing (hot or cold).

I've checked the fuse, which wasn't blown, and replaced it with a new one and I've also had the hu+heater controls out to check for loose wiring to no avail.

Everything seems to be fine so any help would be much appreciated .

Cheers.

Can you go into a bit more detail? Have you tied changing the dial from demist to face etc.? Is it still the same when you turn that? Does anything happen?

All of the dials still seem to function normally, there's just no air being blown out. I don't really know how much more detail I can provide. When the fan speed setting is set at 1 through 4 there's no change, no clicks, knocking, electrical smells or anything abnormal other than the air isn't being blown.

It'll be two years old at the end of the month, not sure how long the warranty is for.

:D hopefully it's a simple fix for them, suppose a day off work to take it to Skoda won't be too bad though haha.

Could be just a wire come off the blower motor.

Is that easily accessible for me to have a check?

Don't touch it anymore. You don't want Skoda accusing you of causing the problem .

Totally agree, don't give them any excuse to say it's your fault and charge you.

While there, start looking at new Citigo's which may encourage them to look after you more :notme:

Thanks for the info folks. They started working again so I've not gone to see Skoda about it. Honestly not a clue what was up with them but hopefully they continue to work xD
