Just wondering if anyone has the part number for the rear disc shields for a pre-FL vrs petrol? I phoned Skoda and I was told they were £25 plus vat per side however I have a funny feeling the guy priced discs and not the shields.

Mine are rattling and I'm putting on s3 brakes at the weekend so would like to put new shields on even though I'll have to cut them to fit the bigger discs.

Mine rattled themselves to death too, look at the size of the securing holes old vs. new.

 

I don't have the part numbers but mine were close to £30 each with the VAT too...

I caught mine a couple of times when dropping the wheels off the hub. After that it didn't take long for them to fail. Poor design,

Cheers mate. I'm honestly shocked that they cost that much! I suspect my ones will be about identical to yours and I won't be buying new ones just to have to cut them. I'll just remove them, I've got braided lines so should be fine with the extra heat.

I dunno when Octy2 facelift might've happened but assuming 2006 is pre, and that nothing changed between 2006 and whenever your car was born, this page might be the one, item 8:

Yeah 2006 is pre as that's what my car is. Thanks for the part number but a quick check doesn't turn up anything cheaper than the dealer prices so I'll just be ditching them I think.
