Mirror link or Smart link

Featured Replies

How do you know which one your car has?

Purchased a 6 Month old SEL from main dealer and was just wondering which it has and how do you tell?

Should be Smartlink if it's a 2016 car. Smartlink allows you to use Android Auto or Apple Carplay depending on your smartphone.

I have Mirrorlink and I can say it is absolute rubbish, you are lucky to have the later and according to Skoda its not available to upgrade mine

Press Menu, and scroll across. It'll say SmartLink on one of the squares, or MirrorLink if it's only got that. Clicking on it will then bring up a black screen with the 3 system logos across it, I'm presuming doing the same with MirrorLink would only have the MirrorLink logo.

Thanks everyone and especially vc-10 that was exactly what I wanted to know!

Glad I could help! It's an excellent system BTW, if you've got Smartlink. Wipes the floor with the systems in the Fiesta or the Mazda2 IMO, and SmartLink is a paid option on the Polo and Ibiza!

If it's an iphone 6 it's fully compatible.

With iPhones it's the 5 onwards isn't it? Basically anything with a lightning connector.

Yep.

Cool, my mum's thinking of a new Superb, and is likely to get my sister's castoff iPhone 5S when she upgrades.
