Will a complete VRS boot lid/hatch fit inside an Octavia?

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone had transported a complete Octavia boot/hatch in their hatchback version?  I'm taking a drive tomorrow to collect one and am hoping it will...

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks

Why wouldn't it?

It will need supporting at an angle, but I'd be 90% sure it will go.

Thanks for the reply but I'm really looking for confirmation from someone who has as it looks tight to get it through the hatch opening even at an angle.

Remove hatch, drive to pick up point, fit hatch

Sorted.

Again, thanks for the reply but I'm travelling a considerable distance to collect and its not for the car I'm going in...

Borrow a roof rack to be sure.

Thanks - I'll be taking my roof bars as a backup.

looking forward to an update.

Didn't even get to try it - complete waste of time, item not as described, still on the vehicle and then the guy had the nerve to question me as to why I wasn't going to have it! 160 mile round trip for nothing more than a cup of McDonald's tea...

As/when I do find a good one I'll update you all as to whether it will fit.
