Eml on!

Featured Replies

Guys im new to here as just a week ago bought a 2007 LE VRS. The day after i picked it up my ocd picked up a very slight random hiccup in the revs on idle but nothing serious enough to cause me any worries at the time, plus the car drives like a dream and pulls like a train as it should. A week later, motorway driving, the eml pings on and at the point of doing motorway speeds, the car still drives fine. Stopped for grubb and engine idle seems worse but still not bad enough to call it misfire but not quite right!! Drove it to my mates who has a code reader and it resets itself and idle returns to normal also. Code reader shows code '19586' egr fault. Ive been told and even read on here they are common for this which is why im going to strip it off and clean it tomorrow. Is there any other suggestions or concerns i should be aware of?? Cheers

Check the flap moves freely and hasn't jammed.
