What did you do to your Fabia II today?

Featured Replies

Hi guys/girls,

I am a member of cupra.net and their most popular thread is one like this. I have searched and can't find an equivalent on this forum so thought it was about time someone started one, as it is a great place to keep in touch and will improve forum traffic in general.

It is exactly as the title suggests, this is a place to write your daily updates, maintenance, cleaning, modifications etc.

I'll start us off...

Today I cleaned the Monte and used a quick detailer for the first time, no wax, no sealant just Poorboys QD+. I was very impressed considering the car needs a lot of paint correction.

Looking good! Great idea for a thread btw.

Today I cleaned out the inside (lots of pay and display tickets laying around and mint wrappers...commuting recently!)

Topped up the money tank and looked in despair at the grey car (it's petrol blue...) from the roadworks nearby. So I took pity and stocked up on some autoglym bits from Halfords sale. Going to the jet wash tomorrow and going to treat her lol

I also took the back seats out to allow some cargo and be able to keep my seat right back[emoji38]

I use their shampoo, super resin polish once in a while or when needed if a slight blemish appears, rapid aqua wax and instant show shine (great for removing passenger's grubby paw marks), custom wheel cleaner and instant tyre dressing. I got a lot with the car and just needed to restock a couple of bits today :p swear by the stuff. Will try the gloss protection sometime. Where would that fit in a regime?

It's a sealant so would be used after polishing, but before wax. It's silky smooth. I've heard the resin is good to

Thrashed it for 200 miles making the tail pipes very very dirty, had 4 new tyres fitted, and changed the spark plugs

then i have just touched up some light damage to front corner where some muppet misjudged his stopping distance.

Damage looked worse than it was and lots the other vehicles paint rubbed off with some compound and a quick touch up done for now.

New Front Brakes pads on this morning, paint touch up properly and bit of a good polish and wax up later on.

6 years old first registered 29/10/ 2010, 61,000 hard use miles and mechanically as it left the Factory as far as OEM parts, consumables are improvements over OEM.  So near original apart from quite a few body panels replaced.....Oops..

Engine Management also improved over what Skoda sends out of the factory.

Looking at breaking it...

Your Fabia?

As in taking it apart and selling the bits, or as in something else?

taking it apart and selling everything I'm itching for a mk3 octavia vrs estate

I'll keep my bank balance at the ready then :D

As for mine, I bought more parts for it.

Replaced the arm rest as a bracket had snapped so wasn't the best!

Ant-Vrs,

how much would be needed to buy the beaut as it sits, or nearly as it rolls now?

I wouldn't know how much to put it up for as I've worked out that I've got about 20k in the car but then it's a good one and doesn't use any oil and never top it up and goes like f##k. I know alot of the time it's better to break the car and put back to standard then sell it

Gave it a much needed wash after the 3.5k mile euro road trip. Lots of splatted bugs to get off!!

Interior detail, washed and waxed. Then fitted a dash cam & arm rest to my dad's vRS!

She's getting there.

Front splitter and uprated spark plugs in the post will arrive and be fitted by end of the week.

Will be getting windows tinted as dark as is legally allowed. Facelift black headlights from monte on my radar, but hard to get a hold of.

Have 40mm H&R springs and H&R RARB on the back, have the front springs but getting them fitted by a professional on the 23rd August same time I'm booked in for turbo back custom exhaust with sports cat. APR stage 1 booked for 29th August.

After all that is done getting a professional detail as lots of imperfections and spots that bother me.

Next year will start work on the interior.
