I'm having a starting issue with my fabia 1.4 8v, it bump starts not tried jump leads yet but when I try to start it by the key it gets a click then all the dash lights go out and come on again after I let key go. I'm giving the battery a trickle charge at the moment whilst at work. Also when I have bump started it there's no red battery light illuminating so I guess alternator is charging the battery. Only had the car a week, it was sat for a couple of months before I brought it. I even put my vw golf battery on it and it started once but not very easy

1st step is to load test the battery.
